Proprietary Apple HEIC Images

Created by Colin Simpson, Modified on Fri, 17 Oct at 10:30 AM by Colin Simpson

High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) was introduced by Apple to reduce image size for use on their mobile device and is not compatible with windows browsers. If you are using this format to upload into Risk Warden you will get an error that Risk Warden has no control over.

If you have a number of these and you need to convert from HEIC -> JPG there are converters available on the Microsoft Store.

Should you want to have JPG as the default image format on your mobile device this can be done quite simply. The steps below are on an Apple iPhone.
