How to change the action owner?

Created by Brent Young, Modified on Tue, 25 Feb at 11:33 AM by Brent Young

If you have noticed that the owner of the actions within your assessment is incorrect, this can be due to 2 reasons:

  1. Risk management has not been configured for the current assessment type for the property in question, OR
  2. The "Action Recipient" has not been set to the correct user

If it is reason one, you will notice the "Responsible Person" and "Manager" rows at the top of the page are highlighted in red, and the action owner will be set to the assessor. Clicking on the "add now" link will open the property record, allowing you to add the risk management record to the property under the "Risk Management" section.

If it is reason 2, this information will be complete, and you will need to update it.

You'll need to find and update the property connected to the assessment to update this information.

  1. Using the main menu, navigate to "Estate" > "Properties"
  2. Find the property record to update. If you have a lot of properties, you may need to use the report filter
  3. Once you have found the record, click on the "Actions" button to the left and select "Update"
  4. Scroll down to the "Risk Management" section of the form
  5. Find the assessment type that matches your assessment
  6. Update the "Action Recipient" to the recipient you want reflected in the report.
  7. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

This will change the owner of all outstanding or non-scheduled actions from the existing recipient to the newly selected user on all assessments. If the page is already open, you will need to refresh the page to make the changes appear.
